" My friend Trevor and I were hiking around the old growth forests of our public lands last weekend and came across this dead standing tree. It was rotted in the middle for a good 20 feet up in the trunk. It amazed me that this stays standing and some healthy trees blow down in wind storms, and that it's all a healthy part of a fully functional old growth forest. Being out in Nature is one cool place to be."
